When considering an upgrade, remember your system uses DDR3 rather than DDR4. HWinfo can confirm this, but purchasing incompatible RAM would be problematic.

DDR3 memory is relatively affordable, but ensure your system has a 64-bit operating system if you plan to exceed 4GB. In Windows, right-click the logo in the lower-left corner and select "System" to check your bit version.

I've verified prior, my system runs 64-bit Windows 8.1, I already possess a FlashDrive with Windows 10 Pro, and I plan to upgrade to Windows 10 upon return.
