Steam is not functioning properly. After a complete Windows 11 Pro upgrade, everything appears current including the BIOS. I've attempted various fixes such as clearing caches, disabling integrated graphics, reformatting, and moving games and Steam to another drive. The application opens quickly but displays a pop-up warning about compatibility mode, which remains disabled and requires admin rights. Once past that stage, it operates normally provided no games are launched. Frequent freezes occur immediately upon opening, and the program takes time to launch. I've spent considerable time searching online for solutions without success. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My system includes an Asus Tuf B650 plus with Wi-Fi, AMD Zen 4 Ryzen 7 7800X3D, AMD Radeon RX 6800XT, 64GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM, 6400W 18000MHz SSD, and other components. I noticed the motherboard lights a yellow indicator for about 20-30 seconds during startup, yet it still boots successfully. Could this be related to the boot sequence? Thanks again.
Sure, I can open the event viewer and review the information near the time you attempt to launch the games. Just let me know when you're ready to proceed.
I recently attempted to launch a game, but it froze after starting. It ran for a short time before shutting down. By checking the Windows logs, I found a hanging event. In the admin events, it was forced to close because it stopped communicating with Windows. No other changes were observed.
