Hey everyone, I’m facing a quick issue. When I type on my laptop, it sometimes displays a semicolon instead of what I expect. Also, pressing the backspace button or typing numbers like 7 or n gives me unexpected results—specifically, “7n.” But it works perfectly when I enter my lock screen password. An external keyboard functions just fine, which is why I’m trying to switch to my built-in one before college starts. My laptop model is an Acer Triton 300 PT315-51.

First step is to verify the function keys setting. Ensure they're off if needed. Confirm you're using the correct keyboard layout for your area.
