I’m really pleased with the improvements I’ve made. I started playing three games and feel significantly stronger now compared to before the rank update. The challenges are tougher, which pushes me to think more and reduce mistakes. Especially in speed and adaptability, Mirage as a T felt very slow at first, but we really worked through enemies where we could. We handled fewer smurfs in MGE, the games are tighter, and the conversations are usually better. There are still tougher or easier matches, but overall things are much more balanced. Before the rank update, everyone was ranked together, and now it’s clear that higher ranks attract real players without any major changes. It feels much more rewarding to try new skill groups now since progress requires active improvement.
I've climbed the ranks and my friends have too. My hidden rank or score hasn't changed much. The only difference is the small image update. You're still performing just as well, maybe even better, and getting matched with people at a comparable level. Folks might be upset, but I believe it's for the better.
