This situation isn't typical. With 128GB RAM and a 316MB "hardware reserved" value after rebooting, it's likely a memory module mismatch. You might have installed 16GB but the BIOS only sees 8GB, effectively disabling that module. The recommended steps are to remove all modules, follow the installation sequence in your motherboard manual, and verify their placement using HWINFO64. On my system, A2 and B2 should be installed first, then others, checking their slot positions. If this is new, it may indicate a loose or misaligned module.
Check the BIOS settings, see which RAM is listed if it works there—it might point to a Windows problem that needs reinstalling.
Update for all: changing the RAM positions didn’t help, so I swapped them one by one. After that, restarting twice gave me full access again. I’m not sure why this happened, especially since both RAMs haven’t been in those slots for five years. Still, it worked out. Thanks a lot for your support!
