I bought a 16GB RAM package (two 8GB units) paired with an MSI B450 Mortar Max. When I power on the system, it displays 2400MHz instead of the expected 3600MHz.

My roommates Corsair Vengeance runs at 2133 MHz, and it's a 3466 MHz motherboard. It's a 2133 MHz system.

Most XMP memory operates at 2133MHz Jedec. Nearly every 2400MHz memory uses Jedec, with XMP-rated frequencies matching closely...?
