You have a problem with your Graphics Card memory that is causing issues.
Hey guys, my graphics card memory is getting way too low while playing games. It used to run at full speed (7000 mhz), but now it drops down to just 400 mhz. After about a minute, it gets back up, but then the problem happens again and again on its own. Some games don't have this issue at all. Any tips or advice would be great? Thanks! My laptop is a Dell G7 running version 7700.
You got a 2070 super chip that isn't exactly like a video card because they are different things for regular PCs. It's likely a heat problem with either the CPU or the GPU. MSI afterburner won't fix it. I would try putting on a cooling pad and make sure the battery plug is connected. That works! Here is how to fix overheating on your Dell G7: tips from an owner of this laptop, including benchmarks for a cooling pad and advice on applying new thermal paste. Check out www.joshualowcock.com
Hey slashr! I got an NVIDIA RTX 2070 SUPER with 8GB of GDDR6 RAM, not a 1660 Ti. What frequency should I put in the settings? Also, my Alienware console talks to my GPU's memory directly, so will MSI Afterburner let me change how fast that memory runs?
