Hey guys, my graphics card memory is getting way too low while playing games. It used to run at full speed (7000 mhz), but now it drops down to just 400 mhz. After about a minute, it gets back up, but then the problem happens again and again on its own. Some games don't have this issue at all. Any tips or advice would be great? Thanks! My laptop is a Dell G7 running version 7700.

You got a 2070 super chip that isn't exactly like a video card because they are different things for regular PCs. It's likely a heat problem with either the CPU or the GPU. MSI afterburner won't fix it. I would try putting on a cooling pad and make sure the battery plug is connected. That works! That sounds wrong because this card was meant to run slower with less RAM. You should try turning off the extra settings in MSI Afterburner so everything runs at its normal speed and watch what happens.

Hey slashr! I got an NVIDIA RTX 2070 SUPER with 8GB of GDDR6 RAM, not a 1660 Ti. What frequency should I put in the settings? Also, my Alienware console talks to my GPU's memory directly, so will MSI Afterburner let me change how fast that memory runs?

You have a 2070 super chip that is actually different from a regular video card, so they are not just the same thing. It might be a heat problem with either the processor or the graphics card. MSI afterburner won't fix this. I would try putting on a cooling pad and make sure the battery plug is connected. It works!
