More capable – backward compatible with most systems and devices
Performs multiple functions at once
Supports Fold@Home – can’t see why users criticize controllers
Enjoying games like GTA or AC with a controller is the best experience
M/KB feels uncomfortable

Current consoles no longer provide a superior experience compared to my desktop (they were better when the original Xbox launched).

Increased frame rates and greater precision. Supporting various controllers for different games is ideal, provided the title allows it. Even without built-in support, PC usually offers solutions or mods. Free-to-play titles and budget-friendly options are also available.

I'm a budget-friendly person. Computers can handle much more than game consoles. You can get a lot done with just one device.

I enjoy playing BF4 on PC, but switching to Xbox One made the controls feel sluggish and the visuals dropped significantly compared to the console version.

Mostly, it’s how much you can personalize it. You get to pick the components and assemble it yourself. You also have the freedom to decide between a controller or using a keyboard/mouse whenever you like. The huge variety of games and the ability to play titles not originally made for it really enhance the experience.

It is used to emphasize that "console" refers to the interface or system itself, not just a general term.
