PC question - just two years old… lol
Not entirely clear on what’s happening.
Previously, it worked without Ethernet, but needed to shut down completely and restart for some ports to work again. It wasn’t too serious.
Now it won’t turn on at all. Unplugged everything—USB ports, power supply, held the power button for 30 seconds. Sometimes turning off the PSU helps, or unplugging it works.
It’s an ASUS X670-P PRIME WIFI AMD AM5 ATX model; the board doesn’t have a visible power button.
I disabled all power settings on USBs and turned on ERP in BIOS.
Brought it to Microcenter, but they couldn’t screw it up, so they left it for a day before it worked again. They ran stress tests and everything was normal.
I have no idea what to do next except to go to RMA the board, hoping that fixes it, and then check the PSU if needed.
I haven’t changed the RAM or removed the CMOS battery—since I don’t think it’s a BIOS or Windows issue, there’s no point in reinstalling.

It seems like there might be some confusion about the component or issue. If you're not interested in starting at the bench piece, let me know and I can adjust accordingly.

It’s really strange – the Ethernet cable port has been having problems since I installed it, and I didn’t even think about it at first.
Now it’s doing this [Mod Edit] – and suddenly it just turned on randomly. It could definitely be a short in the board… I’m really not keen on dealing with ASUS RMA after hearing all the bad stories.

This item includes a distinct backplate (I/O). Ensure that none of the small tension springs are located within a USB port or similar area.
