I have never installed anything asus on my build. Not even the PSU. Not the mouse, not keyboard. Yet I find these things on the disk and even an asus service running. I have no idea how they got here. In program files I find an asus folder, content in the screenshot. I also found a couple .xml files that were sitting in C root. I open one and it says gskill. I don't even have gskill ram. It's the team rgb ram. Can anyone enlighten me as to what is going on? SSD is new just like the rest of the build.

I don't have any installed software myself, but I can tell you about common options for controlling RGB lighting such as smart home platforms, dedicated lighting apps, and automation tools.

Assuming you have Trident-Z RAM, it relies on Aura for lighting management. The provided link discusses cleaning and uninstalling software for that system.

You possess several components. Asus operates various affiliated firms that might have implemented Asus aura software for RGB management.

It seems you've made a great discovery. I'll remove the files to the recycle bin temporarily. If everything looks fine, I'll delete them completely. I've also stopped any background services that weren't needed. Thanks!
