I purchased Just Cause 2 during a great deal on Steam, and it usually includes the multiplayer mod. While the single-player version runs smoothly, loading JC2:MP displays a loading message but doesn’t open the game at all—just a window stating the launcher has stopped responding. It minimizes itself without showing up, which is really frustrating. I was excited to play multiplayer, so this issue is quite disappointing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Uh this is a fan project so I would expect at times there being difficulties using it.

Have you checked the game's integrity or reinstalled it? Also, how is your antivirus performing? My AVG often requires verification for JC2:MP to access the internet.

I attempted to check the integrity, removed a suggested file to force a re-download, and still faced issues. Edit: I assumed the problem might be related to using DX9, as it requires DX10, though JC2:SP also needs DX10 but works without issues.

Have you tested JC2 before? Checking the cache is part of the process. Make sure to disable any mods you're using.

No mods installed, tested several runs, confirmed game cache is up to date.
