As long as you secure the card firmly in the case, there should be no issues. Avoid moving it around too much!

Backboard designs from earlier times didn’t use locking clips, so issues were rare—just ensure the PC isn’t moved too much and the card stays firmly in place. If you see a sliding lock clip, it’s likely just a small piece that can be reinserted.

Not aiming for anything serious, sorry. My GPU has shifted out of its PCIe slot gradually. I’m curious if this would lead to issues over time or if it’s just a minor hassle (EVGA 3080 might give you an idea about size and weight). Should I consider relocating it to a PCIe 2 slot? Thanks ahead!
