I've been searching for a long time, but none of the guides fit my modem (it's a Nokia one...). When I enter the modem settings using my IP address, it seems to be GPON. In the port forward section, it appears correctly. Now I'm unsure where to place the port and which IP to use. I'm trying to set up a Minecraft server and this is getting confusing!

WAN and LAN ports are designated for connecting the device, while the internal client specifies the server's IP address.

I entered 25565-25565 in WAN and LAN, and set my IP in the internal client. It seems to not be working as expected.

Yes, I verified the "Enable mapping" option.

Your internet service provider is likely CGNAT. Port forwarding may not function in that case. Check your router's WAN IPv4 address—does it fall within 100.64.x.x to 100.127.x.x or 10.x.x.x?

I believe I have the same modem. The process is simple: type the port you wish to forward in the wan and lan text fields, input the IP address (or choose from the list) for the destination port, and enable mapping. It functions perfectly for me. For example, if I wanted to forward RDP port 3389, I would set it up that way. I’m not sure if this is the right approach, but I’m certain it works fine. EDIT: Don’t forget to click Add!

Activates the configuration options. Clicking "Add" places your custom rules into the port-forwarding list, though they remain inactive until enabled. Enabling the rule is necessary for any effect.

I’ve completed all these steps, yet my friend still can’t join. I’m able to reach my server, but they’re not.
