Hey guys, I hope everyone is well.
I've been trying to join a WhatsApp group for a while now. It has around 398 members, but every time I try, it keeps saying "Can't join because it's full." It happens with every group that has many people. What's odd is that a friend who managed to get in did so easily—just entered and left a few times.
Why does this keep happening? Is my WhatsApp broken?
I also got an invite and reached out to an admin, who showed me a screenshot saying "Couldn't add the user to the group."

The intended group size was supposed to be 512, but it's being rolled out gradually. Since the previous size was 256, there might be another reason behind this change. I think it would be better to ask about it here.

Then you need to talk to whatsapp. There's literally nothing that anyone here can do for you (unless there's someone who works for whatsapp customer support).
