I mistakenly removed read/write access for your admin account on the C drive, which is why you can't use it or any programs inside. After trying to restore access, right-clicking and selecting Permissions froze the entire tab. Do you know what might have caused this?

Consider using a USB to SATA 3 cable to connect your hard drive to your PC for easier access.

If you're launched into the operating system, switch back to SAFE mode using the standard Administrator account, unless you intended otherwise.

if you can link it on another device and change the owner and permissions, you might keep it running without issues, but it’s easier to save, format the drive, reinstall, and then move files back. Just make sure you set those files to a regular user account, not admin.
