I want to change the OC settings on my I7 3770K to 4.2 or 4.5, but I can't set the CPU ratio above 35% (which is 3.49MHz). I'm not sure what steps I should take. I currently use an Asus P8H61-M Pro motherboard.

Are there alternative methods to boost your CPU speed? And what happens if I can't push it above 35?
