Does it include a CD-ROM slot? You can create a LiveCD. It allows booting into Linux. Online searches show recovery possibilities via this method. I’ve tried it before, so it seems okay. Uncertain if it violates forum guidelines, so I won’t share the steps.

Yes, there are guides for that. You can download the Linux installer to a USB drive and boot it using BIOS.

Spare CD/DVD drives are commonly found everywhere. I have around ten of them, and they’ve all been thrown away over the years.
