Okay so i have tons of stuff in my pc and it's been two years and it's getting slow. luckily i found my windows disk and I wish to factory restore everything from my pc as if i've just bought it. How do I do that? i've seen tutorials on youtube and i somewhat do not trust them, so i thought asking for help here should be fine. Thanks!

You possess the discs for backup. This method helps preserve data without needing to lose anything. It allows you to install again if needed. If your computer came preloaded with Windows, you can use this to revert to original settings or begin a clean setup.

Insert the disk into your storage device, turn on the machine, and press the designated keys (f1, f2, f10, esc, delete) until you reach the BIOS menu. Within BIOS, instruct the system to boot from the disc drive. This will load the Windows installation. Proceed through the instructions, and when prompted about your drives, select formatting for the main drive. It may be easier to remove any additional drives before beginning. Disconnecting extras will clear everything from the primary hard disk—be sure to save any critical data first. This method ensures a fresh operating system setup.

@ Albatross shared this information. For Windows 8 or 8.1 users, press the "shift" key during a reboot.

If you don’t have the product key and only have the disk, it might be difficult to proceed. I recommend checking if the disk is compatible or contacting support for alternatives.

MagicalJellyBean always delivers. Losing my Office box seemed like a disaster, but it turned out to be a lifesaver. Enjoy the process of reinstalling!
