You own a PC with an i7-6700k, 16GB DDR4 2700, GTX 980, and a 650W PSU. With a budget of 500€, you should look for a solid GPU upgrade like the RTX 3060 or RX 6600, which fit well within that range.

They are readily available at that cost, 2080 and 2080S—possibly not brand new. Even if used, it might still fit your budget, with most of it staying within range.

Checking if the i7-6700K meets performance needs for 2070 is necessary.

Even with top performance settings,...at 1080p in BFV...not when running just 8 threads (Plenty remains usable, not fully locked at 120-144fps during intense moments). Lighter titles generally perform well, while some are already highly optimized. BFV (my CPU that supports 8 cores) - 1440p at 75-120fps, probably for most games. Most games run smoothly in 4K, but the CPU struggles (90-120fps), causing usage spikes or GPU drops. The engine can't exceed its IPC limits per thread. A solid choice for players above 1080p, though #NotAllGames vary—some may not use the GPU efficiently.

I’ll focus on the RX 5700 XT for the next upgrade.
