You can obtain the latest RC Update at no cost. Once installed, it may stop functioning after some time like other RCs, requiring you to install the official operating system again. The blog post doesn’t mention any future updates—did I miss that part?

The version being installed is incomplete, possibly downgraded unintentionally. It's unlikely Microsoft would allow this to occur.

I reviewed it several times. It seems like you'll keep getting a slow, minimally tested version of Windows 10 that needs clean installs and isn't very helpful most of the time. Not the real thing.

It's important to understand that you'll need a linked Microsoft account and be enrolled in the Insider program. This means you must upgrade your Windows monthly, which could pose issues if you lack sufficient bandwidth or have slow internet. Additionally, you'll be operating on a beta system, which might contain critical bugs that could lead to permanent data loss. This isn't an isolated case—similar problems have occurred with Windows 10 beta, Windows 7 beta, and even Vista beta in the past. Be cautious and don't rush into anything.

It mentions you can exit the Insider program and remain on the final version. It seems you might be able to obtain Windows 10 without cost, provided you don’t have Windows 7 or 8 installed. All this should be available within the timeframe they’re offering the free release.

so it would appear that MS has decided to "give" people windows 10 for free if your running the preview when the release date drops. from what i can gather, if you connect your preview to a Microsoft account then when windows drops in july your copy of the preview will be upgraded to a genuine version fo windows 10 from the windows blog is MS rewarding insiders with a free copy of windows 10? or is this a miss understanding? http://arstechnica.com/information-techn...ws-7-or-8/ http://blogs.windows.com/bloggingwindows...ew-builds/
