From what I understand, it's not possible to remove it. It's just like any other account you have. A Microsoft account works similarly to a Google account. Relax! Check it out and try making one. It's easy and straightforward. https://signup.live.com/signup?uaid=847f...25dc&lic=1 When you set up Windows on a new PC, all your settings and apps stay connected.
