I’m working with Nvidia Shadowplay or Share to capture all my videos. Typically I manually log everything I play and then rely on the 20-minute Instant Replay feature when I miss starting the manual recording. The challenge is organizing everything without sorting through every clip unless I rename files right after each event. Is there a way to quickly mark important moments—like streaks, big crashes, or key scoring—without losing my backup recordings? I’d be grateful for any suggestions, especially if lowering the replay length helps me capture what matters.
Folder containing game titles. Later, I'll organize them by progression stage. For instance, "The Wolf Among Us" will have entries like "episode 2 - Tweedle Dee and Dumb-ass brother" placed in the "Aggressive" subfolder. Rounds of Rocket League are labeled as wins or losses, and those moments highlight key victories or setbacks in editing.
I tag videos while recording them. I currently have around 600GB of content and seven videos on the channel... I'm not sure if there are tools that can automatically label them. I do have some Black Ops clips marked with specific weapons (Poor FAMAS didn't get much attention)...
any system would need you to specify the video name before saving. this usually interrupts your play. it's similar to renaming a file yourself while in the game. you can only track quality after recording starts. if you notice something impressive, you might save it and change the title afterward. otherwise, there’s no shortcut. analyzing the footage for good plays would require a powerful computer and likely real-time processing, which isn’t practical for regular use.
