Each time I open a link, this occurs. It's quite bothersome and the flash is noticeable even when I shift my gaze. Is there a method to prevent the flicker without switching to a light theme? You'll see the effect in the video.

Try Firefox, I've never used it before. How fast is your internet connection?

I believe the upload speed is around 2mbps and the download is about 25mbps, measured in bits rather than bytes.

I think that's typical... I experience it also.

Browsers typically begin with a blank screen when loading a new page, then quickly display the HTML, CSS, and other elements. A possible fix would be to start with a dark background that overlays the white screen. Note: this isn't feasible in Chrome at the moment.

Using Firefox keeps the black background intact, while only the context shifts when switching to a forum page. Also, I experienced poor internet performance.

I just ran a test with Firefox, and it feels like it’s only a split-second quicker. It also lets you pick the background color—like setting it to springgreen just for fun. (I don’t like people messing with grandma’s settings in Firefox.) I edited to note the difference between Firefox and Chrome: Chrome opens a blank page and fills in content as it loads, while Firefox loads the full page first before switching.

This occurs frequently, same topic. I haven't seen it before either. It seems the theme is transitioning from white to gray during loading.
