I created a new computer for my mother. We are stuck in limbo because she doesn't get the confirmation code to her email when trying to log in to Office 365 and her Windows account. I think her account is now blocked after she kept trying. Help? Thank you....

Only MS is able to assist with the account problem. Can she still access her account?

No, she can't log in. We're stuck and I can't complete the setup until we fix this. The process keeps looping back to asking for a code via email. Is there a real way to reach a helpful person?

They might have made mistakes with the email or password.

Is your ISP Comcast? If someone is sending a dual auth email and it doesn't appear, then Comcast might be responsible. This applies not only to email authentication but also to telephone authentication through their service. Comcast has occasionally misconfigured their software despite having perfect hardware.

If this is indeed Comcast, you should have a method to repeat the authentication while a technician monitors it.

For email authentication, try sending an email to that address to verify. Send from different remote locations and also have her send an email to herself from the same device.

She is using the right email address... Comcast. I’m considering setting up a new Gmail account from the beginning. Purchase a 365 plan and maybe codes will be sent to Gmail. Once that’s done, we can then decide how to cancel her current 365 subscription. Any ideas?

Did you confirm she can reach her Comcast email properly? Have you checked all the spam and junk mail folders?

Yes, everything is functioning properly except for the spam/junk folder. I'm considering switching to a new Gmail subscription to move away from Comcast.

It seems this might be a better option, though you should resolve the problem with the original Microsoft account and its subscriptions.

I've had technicians visit my home to check if certain problems were hardware issues. This situation got worse after confirming everything was correct at Comcast's main office. They even replaced whole systems by disconnecting and reconnecting cables to different servers. Some phone numbers, and occasionally emails for dual authentication, are disappearing from specific dual auth services. This isn't related to any spam filters.
