I have Afterburner set to a specific skin and I picked the big version, so it takes up most of my screen when I open it. I had an annoying problem for years with two different graphics cards. Sometimes right after closing a game and opening Afterburner to check numbers, the whole program shrinks down to about 25% size. It has a weird pink or purple border around it and I can't click anything inside of it at all. I have to close it from the taskbar instead of in-game. My main worry is if this means Afterburner crashed, did I lose my fan speed settings for my GPU? This happened to me with my 1080ti several times, but now it's happening with my new 3080. Usually things fix themselves and go back to normal after a while. I am attaching a picture when this happens again because that is very important info for you.

I quit. I tried taking a picture of my screen while having Afterburner running, then saving that image to my computer's photo folder. When I copied the image and clicked past it here, nothing happened.

I found a fix for my problem. Right now, I am playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. When I look at the options menu under resolution, there are three choices: fullscreen, borderless window, and exclusive. My settings were set to exclusive. After I changed it to disabled and closed the game, the Afterburner app looked normal again. Then I tried setting it to borderless window, but that didn't work well either. I thought borderless would let me see the taskbar at the bottom like in a real window, but it doesn't. Instead, the screen fills up exactly like exclusive does. It looks the same even though fullscreen isn't enabled. I don't know why exclusive is making this mess.
