If it doesn't receive the PWM signal from the motherboard, it won't be manageable through any software. Occasionally it arrives with a remote.

Many devices link through a USB header, enabling custom firmware to manage fans. NZXT frequently uses this approach. However, units that aren't physically connected to the motherboard can't be controlled via software.

For the RAIDMAX X603, I plan to swap in higher-quality fans that aren't RGB. Before doing so, I need to understand the current fan layout and the hub configuration. This will help me locate the correct spots on the motherboard for the new fans and where to remove the control hub.
