It works perfectly. It's significantly improved over my previous setup. The performance is smooth at 1080, and most settings are set to high.

You don't have to push it too hard, keeping everything at its standard level works just fine.

The situation with AMD is quite uncertain right now. With a budget of 1000$, Intel seems like the safer choice. For around 300 or 500 dollars, AMD might still be an option, but it's currently not performing well. Vulkan hasn't been included in any games yet, which makes it less appealing. Zen technology remains uncertain—it could be a turning point for AMD. If things don't improve, AMD could face significant losses again. The Titan X is being considered at 1000 dollars for unclear reasons. You could still find other GPUs from NVIDIA under 1000 dollars, which weakens your case.
