85°C is normal. It won’t shorten the lifespan. You need to run your PC at 95°C to extend it. 95°C is the point where performance drops sharply. I’ve turned it off because I overclocked my CPU. With the stock cooler, your temps are only 85°C, so everything should be okay. You likely have good airflow in the case, since overclockers usually see temps above 90°C.

i rely on ryzen master to boost my cpu performance, focusing mainly on core clock and frequency adjustments. currently, my gpu is stuck in space heater mode due to the cold weather in maine, which is around 34 degrees. i own a mid-range/budget motherboard, specifically a b450m ds3h.
