I chose to boost my 3700X from 3.6GHz at 1.35V to 4.150GHz at 1.3V. Before, with a RTX 2080 Ti, 32GB RAM, and 1080p settings, I reached around 10,000 after overclocking. Others say the 3700X struggles with overclocking, though I’m using a stock cooler. My peak temps stay at 85°C, which is acceptable for me.
@MrSushiGaming First off there is no "Normal" overclock as every chip acts differently. Secondly u should NEVER overclock on a stock cooler.
This appears to be typical behavior. Improved cooling could enhance performance.

I push my weak Ryzen 5 2600 to achieve a higher Cinebench 20 score than a 2600X with just a standard cooler. By running it at the voltage and speed I tested for an extended Cinebench 20 session, it will reach 100°C. Still, at least it lasted long enough to outperform a stock Ryzen 5 2600X while using only a regular cooler. CPU performance rarely stays at full capacity for two minutes without interruption under normal conditions.
It's strange, but during FXE I saw my stats rise above a 2-minute prime95 all-core stress test, so stay cautious.
