I bought the MSI A320M-A PRO MAX for a budget build. I’ve already received it but haven’t assembled the system yet. I discovered a cheaper MSI A320M-A model for $50 less. The differences between the two seem minimal. Should I wait for a refund and save $100, or is there another reason? All other specs look similar. Many reviews suggest this CPU will run fine. I’d prefer completing the build before June 14th, so if something is out of stock (like the B450 mentioned), it would be better to avoid unless it’s essential. Also, I’m adding a network card to the project. How exposed should the dongle be? Would it function properly if placed behind the PC?

I don't understand the price difference, but it seems unrealistic for a new A320 board to cost that much. There doesn't appear to be an A320 model worth $100 new. A $100 payment would likely cover a B450 instead. I think we should process the refund quickly. The main distinction between MAX and non-MAX boards is typically a more advanced BIOS and 3000-series compatibility, but recently we found that a 1600AF is fully supported regardless. Consider getting your refund and purchasing a decent B450 board. Regarding the Wi-Fi, only the antennas will protrude, while the PCB remains inside the case.

Return the item and receive an ASRock B450 Pro4 - A320. It’s a huge waste of money because it barely handles quad-core processors.
