You're evaluating Far Cry 3 for sale with your current hardware: G3258 CPU, 2GB RAM, R9 270X GPU, and a 128GB Kingston SSD. If it runs smoothly, you can aim for higher settings. For a monitor resolution of 900x1600, consider boosting to around 1080p or even 1440p depending on your display capabilities. Adjust graphics settings to "High" or "Ultra" mode, and keep texture quality moderate to maintain performance.

You should be okay. 900x1600 sounds like a portrait size. EDIT: I just checked the suggested specs and they’re well beyond what you’re proposing.

I believe your computer should handle it, especially at full settings given your lower resolution. Just start the game and adjust the options until you're happy with how it runs.

It works well. You might want to reduce the settings slightly.

Consider checking online for "CYRI" or try "Can You Run It" with your setup. It tends to appear as an early result.

I'm running Far Cry 3 on a Pentium D 820 with 2.8 GHz and 3 GB RAM, using GT9500 at low settings for 720p. That setup seems to work well for me.

For GPU support, I own an HD4850 ATM and it operates quite well.

Ensure your GPU is at least 8 years old for compatibility.

My console model is G3258 with 750 Ti. I also tested it with a GTX 460 in that setup before the 750 upgrade. Games run smoothly at 1080p using either card. You should be okay. Edit: I didn’t mention running benchmarks on stock CPU speeds without performance loss.
