You're asking if it's feasible to run two user profiles on the same laptop—one for work and another for personal use—while switching seamlessly between them without logging out and back in. This would allow you to connect an external monitor and toggle between profiles effortlessly. Whether this is possible depends on your operating system and software setup. On Windows, native support exists via profiles and task managers, but third-party tools can enhance flexibility. For macOS, similar profile management options are available, and some apps offer advanced switching features. Check your specific platform for built-in capabilities or consider using a dedicated app to streamline the process.

Are you referring to individual user accounts? Yes, they operate separately. Multiple users can connect via SSH or remote desktop to distinct accounts. There isn’t a built-in method for multipoint access on a Mac like this. You won’t need to log out and back in; fast switching is possible while everything stays active.

You're referring to user accounts. I tried to run both at once, but I couldn't locate any information about it.

You might try Parallels or another VM host, using an account through a VM. This has been done before and functions correctly.
