Hello! I have a unique suggestion that might already be discussed. I’m thinking about buying a Vive specifically for a monitor setup. My goal is to enjoy a highly immersive gaming experience while still being able to control the game with a keyboard and mouse. Could a Vive also serve as a screen?
The Oculus Rift seems suited for that purpose because its software includes a built-in desktop connection. However, purchasing a VR headset feels a bit unreasonable right now—they aren't reliable replacements for monitors. Opting for a standard gamepad and true VR mode is far more effective, and many games are designed for that setup.
Access via Steam Virtual Desktop. https://store.steampowered.com/app/38211...l_Desktop/ However, neither the Rift nor the Vive offers the same pixel density as a high-quality monitor. I’m referring to pixels per degree of field of view.
You'd still require a display since many configurations or startup processes won't support the headset (assuming this is correct).
