I possess one 16GB DDR5 RAM with 5600MHz speed. I'm curious if switching to a different brand in dual-channel, such as Kingston, would work since they share the same frequency and CL. It might impact performance or cause issues like failure to boot if not compatible.

Over the past ten years I've combined various RAM types without issues. Results won't be top-tier, but I suggest doing your own investigation. DDR5 tends to be more demanding than DDR3 and 4.

The best approach is to align key specs: around 5600 MHz, using the three main timing settings (like 36-38-38) where 36 is the CAS latency or CL36. Matching the chip type matters too—Samsung B-die works well with certain controllers. Purchasing two sticks ensures compatibility from the factory.
