Tried to switch backup drive to ReFS in Windows 10 Home, but it wasn’t available by default. Made a virtual machine to experiment with registry changes, though those didn’t succeed. Someone can help clarify the process.

On a standard Windows 10 machine, ReFS can only be accessed via the Storage Spaces option. Make sure your Storage Spaces are set to ReFS and not NTFS when prompted. Using ReFS will let you take advantage of its built-in data integrity features automatically.

I also attempted that—ReFS wasn’t listed as an option. Additionally, I’d have to set up two virtual disks on my backup HDD and merge them, among other steps.
