I’m checking for reliable WiFi 6 options that work well with desktop systems. You mentioned you’re open to PCIe or USB connections and are looking for a solid performance setup.

It's worth mentioning that both of them chose to use PCIe for Wi-Fi and USB for Bluetooth. This means they're using one adapter, but it has two distinct connection ports.

It's typically handled that way. You don't need extra bandwidth for Bluetooth over PCIe. Most AX cards I know are built using Intel laptop chipsets that support both PCIe and USB.

You might connect a laptop wireless card via an adapter and transfer it to USB, possibly using a PCIe connection if available.
