he encountered an issue and yes, i'm based in the US. the isp also temporarily disabled his internet for two days due to the same problem

Man. That sucks. I'm glad my ISP is kind of of the "good ones" here in the US. It's CenturyLink for those who care. They are pretty big, so I'm surprised they are so lenient. I never get notices or emails from them and I torrent quite a bit of things. No data cap either. The speeds just suck because I live in a rural area. I'd switch ISPs if I were him and if he can.

You need a modified Wii and the game should be extracted to an external storage device. Without a Wii, you'll have to obtain some outdated ROMs.
