I possess an Intel Optane SSD 900P Series with 280GB, PCIe x4 AIC and 3D XPoint technology. I aim to assemble a new Intel i9 system and already have the same 280GB drive. I’m curious about using it as a fast boot device. Is Windows 11 supported? Has anyone else experimented with this setup and shared advice or experiences?

Optane drives function as NVMe storage and operate just like standard NVMe drives. They have performed reliably across all systems I've tested.

It should function, but you’ll likely need to use CSM to power on the PCIe port. This will restrict access to certain UEFI BIOS settings. Also, since it’s Gen3, it runs slower compared to most other Gen3 NVMe drives.

I believe I saw information about combining CSM with Windows 10. The compatibility should match or be identical. Thanks.
