If you need to reach MSI for BIOS updates, it doesn't mean it's a retail board. Maybe the word "prototype" wasn't the right term—I'm not sure if it's possible or not. It's going to be mostly guesswork. I'm wondering if all four DIMM slots work, too—please let me know when you test that.

Anshu1999:
I should reply simply: can I install a 6 gen i5 regardless of whether it's K or non-K? Probably not, maybe only BCLCK. Even if I can install it fully, I'm worried about stability and I don't have much money.

I contacted MSI because the board isn't available in-store. They confirmed it's genuine and let me register an ad with them using my serial number. The live update features from MSI help me keep updating the BIOS.

And please stop calling it a prototype—it's really frustrating, I feel like I'm being cheated.

If you need to reach MSI for BIOS updates, it’s not a standard retail board. Maybe using "prototype" was the wrong word I used, but since there’s no consumer version with clear info, it’s hard to say for sure. I’m wondering if all four DIMM slots are functional—please check when you test.

Anshu1999 replied in simple terms:
I’m asking if a 6 gen i5 can work on this board, whether it’s K or non-K type. Probably only with BCLCK. Even if it works, I’m worried about stability and I don’t have much money.

I contacted MSI because the board isn’t in stock and they confirmed it’s genuine. They also mentioned live update features help with BIOS updates.

They told me not to keep talking about a prototype—it’s really annoying and makes me feel like I’m being cheated. If it works as expected and it’s worth the cost, you’re not cheated at all.

It seems this board isn’t available commercially, so a prototype is likely what they meant. Everyone has said it’s real, so it probably is.
Only testing will tell for sure.

Corwin65 shared some thoughts with Anshu1999 about contacting MSI for a BIOS update. They mentioned it might not be a retail board, and questioned whether the 4x DIMM slots would work after testing. Anshu1999 replied that they were unsure if a 6 gen i5 could be installed, considering the cost and uncertainty of performance. They also noted that MSI confirmed the board was genuine and helped them update BIOS, which made them feel cheated. They emphasized that only testing could confirm the answer.
