Windows 10 is launching soon. I've been testing the technical preview from day one, but now I realize I won't be able to get the full version from that stage. Since users of Windows 8 are getting a free upgrade, I considered reinstalling Windows 8, though I only used the product key once... Can I use it again? It was a standard copy. Sorry for the confusion, 4 bad poast

It was linked to your setup, which allowed you to reinstall anytime. After updating your motherboard and CPU, it only required reactivation, not a full reinstall. You were resolved quickly via the support line.

OEM keys are generally reusable as long as they’re connected to the same motherboard.
