Essentially the ASUS handled the first G14 by using metal contact already, so a non-liquid thermal paste worked fine. But if someone does this, a more solid paste is necessary. Anything that spreads easily is a big no. I wouldn’t even consider adding random metal shims in the GPU—it’s a bad idea.

I can adjust the core clock speed from 1340 to 1140 and the VRAM from 1750 to 1550. However, I can't modify the voltage using the MSI afterburner, and I won't choose the AMD model because it clears all my settings when restarted.

The power cap seems to have the biggest impact on temperatures, even if voltage remains unchanged. You might attempt to run the GPU in stock mode and reduce power usage. The timing will slow down as you decrease the power limit.
