I understand this could be tricky, but is it feasible to use a dual OS on a pen drive? I currently have Windows 7 installed on a 64 GB drive, and after Windows 10 was released, I wanted to create a bootable pen drive. Before formatting, I wondered if it’s possible to set up dual booting between Windows 7 and Windows 10, or even flash the drive to have separate partitions for each. It seems there are various options and possibilities involved.

The system functions similarly to a standard boot drive, allowing GRUB or another bootloader to manage multiple operating systems.

unfortunately no, the drive you mentioned is all external 3 TB WD HDDs and an internal 2 TB drive. you didn’t realize I was asking about a dual boot setup with Windows 7 and Windows 10 on the same pen drive. i need to clarify that a dual boot pen drive won’t work with both operating systems on the same device.

Check out YUMI: http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multib...b-creator/ I faced some trouble getting Win7 to function on it, but it wasn't too time-consuming. It might have been a copy of Windows 7. I've also used it with various Linux distributions, such as Ultimate Boot Disc.

Is it compatible with NTFS? Since it uses FAT 32, files larger than 4GB can't be copied, which is why your Win 7 has a 4.1 GB limit.

Otherwise I recall a drive once (can't recall the name), featuring a few buttons and a tiny LCD screen. You'd install your operating system on it, choose the desired one, and then connect it to the target PC. Quite an interesting device.

Don't worry, take a look. It could be the explanation for why it didn't work!
