99 is effective, and 91 also functions well. The standard suggestion is typically 99.

That's correct. Anything over 70% is sufficient. (At least locally, I've found 70% in pharmacies, though I haven't seen any carrying 99%).

Alcohol really helps. Back in high school I liked tinkering with computers and taking them apart. I couldn’t just ask my mom for 70% alcohol, so I found a workaround. The best method I used was Deoderant—spraying it on a kitchen towel worked perfectly. It’s still something I do occasionally.

When changing processors, it’s best to follow the proper method. Avoid altering pins unless necessary. For cleaning CPUs, many products contain alcohol, and not all are equally effective.

You successfully used CVS brand 91% isopropyl alcohol, which performed well. Ensure the alcohol is fully evaporated and avoid any thermal paste residue on the pins before reinstalling.

Be cautious while removing the heatsink from the motherboard; it might push the CPU out of its socket. If possible, place a screwdriver underneath and adjust a switch to free the CPU.

They have a mechanism to secure the CPU. Intel does this, while AMD only secures the pins when you're correct. It doesn't just release them.
