I understand UEFI BIOS is somewhat limited in functionality, but it’s not entirely without options. For your Acer Switch Alpha 12, you can still manage basic security like setting a password and creating a recovery partition. To enhance the experience, consider exploring BIOS settings for RAM configurations or CPU features—though these may be restricted. There are ways to adjust certain parameters safely if you're comfortable with the process.

They’re limited to what the makers announce. Such advanced capabilities are uncommon on handheld devices.

The UEFI/Bios is tailored to a particular motherboard model and can only function on that specific device. Changing it to another model isn't possible. While an update might be available, it's improbable they'd include additional features, particularly for laptop BIOS.

It seems you're considering BIOS updates not provided by the maker. I'll need to check that.

Because the Acer Switch Alpha 12 functions similarly to a Surface, the likelihood of a third-party BIOS being present is extremely low. Creating a custom BIOS manually isn't recommended.
