Hey, I've got Win 10 1803 installed and was thinking about trying to play Win 10 1809 on my laptop. It's all set up and I don’t want to risk anything illegal.

Home or Pro decides only about the additional capabilities, not which versions are installed during an upgrade.

It’s a Windows update offering enhanced capabilities. Navigate to settings, then update and security, and look for available updates (click to view). Verify your system version; you may already possess the update since Windows often applies changes automatically.

They haven’t deployed it through the Windows update system. Additional rollouts were halted because some users lost access to the file (including myself). When it’s released again, you’ll be able to download and upgrade using the update tool at: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows10

I thought it was an Intel update that made that change. I already have version 1809 and haven’t experienced any problems. It seems the original poster might have updated to 1809 before the removal was applied.

No recent Intel announcements have been shared, yet users are noting issues after upgrading to version 1809. The problem seems tied to non-OneDrive files vanishing, observed on a work laptop but not a home machine—results inconsistent.
