Keep your settings aligned with the hardware, and you’ll likely be able to enjoy the game. DOOM titles are famous for running smoothly even on toasters.

You can enjoy it with the 4GB version if you accept a lower resolution and frame rate. The 2GB edition seems unlikely to work. From what I recall about early testing, older AMD graphics cards tend to handle the game better than newer Nvidia models. Regardless, pushing an optimized AAA title on such outdated hardware is quite challenging. The Kepler architecture (GTX 600 and 700 series) is nearly ten years old now, and Nvidia has stopped providing driver updates for it.
