Christmas arrived and now I just need a monitor and Windows for my PC. To save money, I was wondering if it's possible to run Windows 10 on my laptop and transfer it to my PC. I found eBay offering Windows 10 for $10, but that would cost me extra for the monitor. I just want to know if it's feasible. Thanks!

From the Microsoft website. If your laptop's Windows was set up by the maker (OEM), you won't be able to transfer the key.

You can set up Windows 10 on your PC. However, you'll receive a trial version. You must possess the key and an official copy. Watch all the instructions on YouTube for details.

You can still apply the free upgrade from Windows 7/8.1, but if you're using an OEM version of Windows 10 and encountering problems, contact Microsoft support. This approach has consistently succeeded for me, and I often do it myself. Just avoid copying or cloning your operating system, as it's not advisable with a fresh installation.
