Sure, you can move those laptops. If they don’t have a key activation feature, you’ll need to install Windows on them yourself. You can transfer the data from your old PC to the new one, and yes, Windows will still be installed once set up.

It's essentially a free *Cough* window. You might ask the admin to turn it on for a fresh system, though they probably won't.

You're asking about the legal meaning of "the other way." It likely refers to how a situation or decision can be reversed or changed in law.

As far as you should be concerned, there is no other way.

You can simply contact Microsoft and mention you've swapped the motherboard. Usually, the button at the bottom of laptops isn't actively used—it's just a standard one that works across devices.

I've maintained consistency regularly, always succeeding. Keep in mind the terms and conditions aren't binding rules; the biggest penalty for breaking them is paying [Microsoft] to cover their losses (up to £70).

It's allowed. Your device belongs to you. Feel free to use whatever you like with your key. A complete reinstall works well—just apply the key from the label. This method isn't the standard way to activate Windows, but it's a common workaround. If issues arise, contacting Microsoft support is usually the next step. I've handled similar situations before when someone needs a new machine and wants to retain their existing setup.

These terms and conditions are legally binding agreements. They define what you're agreeing to, including any rights to challenge or modify them. While ownership is largely yours, the software license remains in your hands.
