I'm looking to upgrade my cooler and add more fans to push performance further, but I'm unsure if a fresh purchase is the best choice. Primarily used for gaming, especially Warhammer 3.

Are you focusing on top frame rates at 1080p or pushing visuals to 1440p and beyond? The 1600 supports around 60fps in most titles. The challenge lies in achieving 120fps or higher for CPU-heavy games.

I've noticed creators use a 3080 smoothly, though I suggest going with a 5600x for around $200.

Sure, I understand. The Ryzen 1000 is recognized for its excellent performance, especially with full boost clock across all cores. Are you looking for something more powerful or just considering used options?

I also own a Ryzen 5 1600 paired with an RTX3070. The game runs smoothly, using only about 30-40 CPU resources during the benchmark test I just completed. I’m fine playing on my PC and hope you can do the same. Good luck! Feel free to ask if you need more help.

I noticed two benchmarks—one for the campaign and another for battles. I shared the screenshots for both and followed the GeForce "optimized" settings. The campaign used up to 80% CPU usage, while the battle version kept around 40-50%. Both my GPU and CPU ran at their base speeds. Regardless, since I play often, I haven’t felt the need to upgrade. Let me know if this helps!

But honestly, these chips are already almost at full capacity. You can only turn on PBO if your board supports it, otherwise just let it run as is.

I wouldn't use the RX6700Xt with a Ryzen 1600 because it creates a performance bottleneck. It might be better to opt for a used Ryzen 3600 if your motherboard supports it. You'd experience a drop of 20-30% in overall speed compared to a Ryzen 3600. The best choice would be the 5600X or newer affordable models like the 5600 non X. I have a spare PC with a 9900K and an RX6700XT GPU combo, which still works but is quite outdated and slower. A much older or slower CPU can also significantly reduce performance.
